Say NO to Medicaid Expansion
Instead of expanding government control over healthcare by expanding Medicaid, we need to focus on policies that make health care more affordable and accessible for all Mississippians.
Medicaid expansion plans are a bad deal for taxpayers.
Other states such as Indiana have seen a $1 billion dollar shortfall. The existing Medicaid program in Mississippi is already projected to have significant increases over the next couple of years that the state budget will have to supply.
Medicaid expansion means that able-bodied childless adults will receive taxpayer funded healthcare insurance, there will be less healthcare access for the truly needy, and the state budget could be impacted over time to see the same type of cost overruns other states have seen who expanded Medicaid.
For these reasons, I ask you to oppose Medicaid expansion and even more government control over our healthcare. Please vote NO on Medicaid expansion in Mississippi.
