Right now, there’s a bill being considered in the Indiana State House that creates a special government rule that infringes on the property rights of Hoosier landowners to benefit one company. This is big government cronyism at its worst.

Urge your state legislators to vote "NO" on S.B. 451.

The bill, S.B. 451 or Carbon Sequestration Project, allows an out-of-state investment company to bypass existing state laws to pump carbon dioxide into pore space owned by Indiana landowners.

Landowners would have no ability to block this project from using their property. They would be left without clear judicial rights to obtain fair market value for their land or seek compensation for any damages incurred during the process.

This is just wrong. The government should never trample over Hoosier’s property rights to benefit big business.
