Dear Senators: Support Education Freedom Account Expansion!
All Children Deserve Access to an Education that fits their needs
New Hampshire’s Education Freedom Account program is wildly successful, providing thousands of students the opportunity to receive an education that fits their needs and works for their unique learning style. All students are unique and deserve the opportunity to receive an education that enables them to realize their full potential, regardless of their family’s income or zip code.
House Bills 367 and 464 are modest expansions of the Education Freedom Account program and would open the door for more students to take advantage of the great opportunities provided.
House Bill 367 would increase the income cap to 350% of the federal poverty limit, allowing more students to take advantage of Education Freedom Accounts and have an opportunity to an education that suits their individual needs.
House Bill 464 expands Education Freedom Account to several categories of disadvantaged students such as: foster children, homeless youth, or students in a chronically underperforming district.
