As a constituent I’d like to express my thanks for your "yes" vote to pass SB336 a bill addressed the outdated barriers to work by allowing self-employed workers to open voluntary portable benefits accounts—benefits that travel with the worker, regardless of job or platform. Just like Utah’s landmark 2023 law, SB336 stipulated that the provision of benefits cannot be used to reclassify independent contractors as employees under state law.
