As Hoosiers, we pride ourselves on being an open market and competitive state, yet in our healthcare system, we arbitrarily restrict the supply of healthcare providers — driving up the cost of care. Not only does this have a detrimental effect on Hoosiers’ freedom to access the healthcare provider of their choice, but it also harms our economy by discouraging new businesses from coming to our state and increasing costs for all of us.
You and your colleagues can correct this, by passing critical legislation such as SB213 or HB1330. This legislation would cut government red tape preventing patients’ freedom to choose their provider.
I encourage you to stand for healthcare freedom and vote in favor of SB213 or HB1330.
