Property owners should not have restrictions on whether or not they can generate income from the property they own in the form of short-term rental agreements. Local political subdivisions in Ohio continue to block homeowners from being able to participate in short term rental agreements such as AirB&B’s thereby limiting the homeowner from utilizing their property as they see fit. It is for these reasons I am urging you to vote YES on SB 104/ HB 109 so we can prevent local political subdivisions from placing restrictions on homeowners.

Municipalities in Ohio continue to prevent homeowners from having the capability of making short term gains from the property they already own. Property owners should have the ability to make money off of their property in the form of short-term rentals such as AirB&B without government regulations getting in the way. Supporting Senate Bill 104 and House Bill 109 would prevent municipalities from banning short term rentals and it would shift the lodging tax collection from the owner to the platform used to rent out the property.
