As a concerned citizen of New Jersey, I am sending this email to bring to your attention troubling developments in our state's fiscal policies, particularly concerning the spending and tax initiatives spearheaded by Governor Murphy.

It is disheartening to observe the lack of fiscal restraint exhibited by some members of our

legislature, especially when contrasted with the more moderate and sensible proposals put forth by others in the Assembly.

The Governor's allies in the Assembly allocating hundreds of millions of dollars towards their own initiatives is troubling, as it not only exacerbates the financial strain on hardworking families but also fails to address the core issues facing our state. Such excessive spending only serves to make New Jersey less affordable.

The imposition of these taxes on employers, increased taxes on HMO health insurance, the truck tax, toll increases, transit fare hikes, and higher taxes and fees on hunters imposes a heavy financial burden on our residents. Additionally, the prospect of higher income tax rates due to inflation and bracket creep, along with dramatically increased employee wage taxes in January 2025, further compound the challenges faced by individuals and businesses alike.

As your constituent, I urge you to consider the consequences of these measures for the well-being of our state and its residents. It is imperative that our elected representatives prioritize fiscal responsibility and accountability in policymaking.
