As a constituent of your district I am writing to ask you to vote NO on House Bill 235.

House Bill 235 is legislation that will impose an unnecessary and burdensome new licensure requirement on the men and women working to keep our energy prices low.

Over the last several months the price of energy has increased. Costing constituents like myself more money on everything from utility bills to grocery store visits. HB235 will only exacerbate this problem even more.

Additionally, Ohio’s oil and gas producers are among the safest in the industry. The rate of job-related non-fatal injuries and illnesses nationwide has decreased from 3.5 per 100 full time workers in 1994 to 0.5 in 2020.

I am respectfully asking you to vote NO on House Bill 235. Keep Ohio energy production up and keep Columbus special interests out of our pocketbooks.

Our country’s position as a global energy leader is at a turning point. Yet a few legislators in Ohio are looking to make our energy problems worse by placing restrictive policies on Ohio’s petroleum refineries.

House Bill 235 is legislation that would create a new licensure requirement on oil and gas producers in the state of Ohio. Ohio's oil and gas producers are some of the safest in the industry. This legislation is a so-called solution in search of a problem.
