In 2023, Airbnb contributed an impressive $588 million to Kentucky’s GDP, with hosts earning $157 million. Additionally, the platform generated $161 million in tax revenue and $354 million in labor income. These figures highlight the substantial economic benefits short-term rentals provide to our state.

I support SB 110 because it reinforces the principle that individuals should have the freedom to use their property as they choose. By passing this bill, Kentucky can join neighboring states like West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Indiana in creating a favorable environment for short-term rental hosts.
