Some of our tax dollars should follow the child, and HB 1020 provides for ESAs that help do that. Kids can use ESA in private schools, micro-schools, and homeschools. It's critical that SD prepares our students to become successful in the future.
Vote yes for HB 1020! Vote yes for kids. We cannot wait any longer.

Help us get HB 1020 passed by signing the letter to the right! HB 1020 provides an excellent pathway to a robust Educational Savings Account (ESA) program. Everyone can apply. Once approved you would have approx. $3,000 to use in an online digital marketplace with thousands of items that you would order and have shipped to you immediately. No waiting for reimbursements, no audits. You could also apply that money to private or micro schools. There is robust language protecting these ESA kids from extra "strings" or "hoops" from the government. Homeschoolers who did not opt in to the program would remain in their own separate lane and not subject to any ESA requirements.
