Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut has been leading the charge for education opportunities in New Hampshire. Over the last couple years, he successfully implemented the innovative Learn Everywhere program, negotiated the largest charter school grant in the country, and recently implemented the Yes Every Student Scholarship program. These programs and his leadership are helping every student in New Hampshire access opportunities to achieve the best education possible for them and their family!
We all know that most students suffered some amount of learning loss throughout the pandemic, Yes Every Student gives grants directly to the families to help students catch up. Parents and families understand where their child is struggling and are best equipped to find the help that their child needs. These grants allow families to seek out tutoring to help their child to stay on track with learning.
Charter schools were at their limits in New Hampshire, with waiting lists of more than 1,000 students! Thanks to the federal grant Commissioner Edelblut negotiated, New Hampshire can now authorize new charter schools that will be able to accept students thrive in different learning environments.
And, with Learn Everywhere, students in public schools can earn credits for learning that takes place outside the classroom, enabling them to learn skills and subjects that schools can’t fit into their curriculum. This innovative program will empower students to seek new learning opportunities!
Thank you, Commissioner Edelblut, for leading the way on education opportunities in the Granite State!
