Allow Full Practice Authority for Nurse Practitioners
Support Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioners with SB 25 and HB 739
In Pennsylvania there is a desperate shortage of access to health care, especially in our rural communities. In order to help alleviate this physician shortage, we must allow Nurse Practitioners to begin to practice to their full training. Currently in PA, overburdensome regulations have compounded this issue by paralyzing our health care professionals. Nurse Practitioners face challenges regarding proper doctor sign off on issues well within their ability. Due to fewer doctors available, that nurse practitioner must stop helping patients until another physician can sign off on them.
If Full Practice Authority is signed into law, nurse practitioners will finally be allowed to practice to the full extent of their licenses and certifications. This allows our nurses to serve more patients and cuts down on wait times, making the care you receive more responsive and efficient.
