Americans deserve more options - not less - when it comes to getting health insurance. For millions of self-employed, gig workers, entrepreneurs, and people in-between jobs, association health plans can offer flexibility during transitions, affordability comparable to employer-provided insurance, and stability at a reasonable price.

A handful of organizations, like chambers of commerce, have special exemptions that allow them to provide affordable health insurance to members. Unfortunately, not everyone in need of coverage has a small business or can benefit from chamber membership. Our elected officials need to remove the barriers which prevent more associations from offering good health insurance at a reasonable price.
