Beginning at 19 years old as a dispatcher, Diggs has devoted his life’s work to the people of York County through the Poquoson Police Dept. before becoming the county’s Sheriff where he served for more than 20 years. This historic tenure as Sheriff - one of the longest in state history - has been marked by unwavering devotion to improving the lives of those in his community daily. As District 24’s next Senator, Diggs will continue to prioritize bringing education opportunity and economic growth to his community.
