Support Personal Options in Health Care
Ohio should have more Personal Options in Health Care
We can save Medicaid and Medicare without raising taxes or cutting benefits. The path to protecting these programs involves a series of small reforms that give more Americans greater options and flexibility in controlling their health care and the money that pays for it. These reforms add up to make a big difference, and the Personal Option is the way.
Barely 10% of Americans have the legal option to save pre-tax dollars in a Health Savings Account. Our ability to use telehealth and telemedicine options is only possible because of an emergency federal COVID exemption. Advanced practice nurses are actively denied the option to deliver health care services that match up to their level of training & education. We need these options: to expand HSA access, make permanent telemedicine rights, and empower nurses with full-practice authority; and these options will benefit all Americans.
